An interview with Robb Drew

How did you get your start in music?

Music was always a part of me since I was a kid. I was skilled at playing instruments including the trombone. As I got into high school I started writing my own songs, but got distracted by college to take it even further. A year after college I started writing songs again and that’s when I decided to take music head on and never looked back.

Where are you from?

Ronkonkoma, New York (Long Island)

Tell us the story behind your new song?

My recent album Better Than Yesterday encompasses modern issues including the pandemic, unjust politics, and mental health.

What’s your favorite thing to do on a Saturday?

If I had Saturday’s open for the rest of my life I’d hit the beach and crush some oysters and a lobster roll.

If you weren’t a musician, what do you think you’d be doing right now?

I’d probably be working in another creative lane, developing another form of passive income, entrepreneurship/ running my own business

What is one album that changed your life?

The Documentary - The Game

What’s up next for you?

Playing more shows, releasing new music, dope collabs, learning more instruments, and working on a new album.
